What a gift. An entire "extra" hour on the very night I needed it most. Nate leaves, or rather his plane does at the crack of dawn, but right now we're enjoying 60 minutes we wouldn't have had thanks to whoever decided Daylight Savings was a good idea. I'm happier than I've ever been to be fallin' back an hour. Sitting on the couch listening to George Strait on Nate's computer (appropriately singing
This is where the Cowboy rides away) and finding some inspiration from Charlie Chaplain's oldy but goody
Smile (sung by Lyle Lovett) on mine. I'll be doing my best to do just that come morning. Saying goodbye just never gets any easier...
Smile, though your heart is aching.
Smile, even though it's breaking.
Though there are clouds in the sky, you get by...
If you smile through your fears and sorrows.
Smile and maybe tomorrow You'll see the sun come shining through.
If you just light up your face with gladness, Hide every trace of sadness.
Although a tear may be ever, ever so near.
That's the time you must keep on trying.
Smile, what's the use of crying?
You'll find life is worthwhile If you'll just smile, come on and smile.
If you just smile.

My heart is with you! I am so sorry he had to leave today. It's like having a piece of you walk away but he will be home in no time and your time with him will be better than before! God bless you and Carter.
Love,
Heather and Lily
We are thinking of you, Carter and Nate and hoping this time apart will bring some delightful moments that will help the time pass quickly.
