Carol and Randy and Martha, OH MY!

Day two of New York I tagged along for all things "bridesmaid". Looking at dresses and even attending a Jenny Yoo fashion show with Kim and Lyndsay...

That night we freshened up and headed out...

We had been lucky enough to score invites to the Martha Stewart Wedding Party and were pretty excited!

To help pass the time on the way to the party we had a little photo shoot in our Taxi (What?? Like you've never taken photos of yourself just for fun!?) Our best shots...Lyndsay...

So glad my sister turned out to be a Rock Star or at least own a bridesmaid boutique so that we could attend this fabulous party!

We weren't exactly sure what to expect, but we knew meeting Martha was #1 on our list of things we hoped might happen. Lucky for us one of the first stops we made was a tour of the Martha Stewart offices. And just WHOM do you think was walking down the hall as we rounded the corner?? Well, Martha herself of course!!

She is really beautiful in person and I said something super profound as she passed me like, "Hi Martha!" When we got over our star struck status we moved on with the tour. Maybe my favorite part of the night because how cool to see where all the magic and creativity takes place...

We were able to see the kitchen where they decorate and design wedding cakes...

and all the rooms stuffed with props for their shoots...

there was an abundance of everything...

and DISHES! Lot's and lot's of dishes!!

I loved every second of it and wished about a thousand times that my mom could be there, she would have loved it!!

After the tour we headed into the party. Let me just say it was everything you might hope a Martha Stewart party would be. It was all done to the nines (these photos from the Martha Stewart Wedding Blog give you a bit of and idea)...

It was beautiful and such a fun atmosphere. We grabbed a drink and made our way to the dance floor (still on a bit of a high from our Martha Stewart encounter) when whom should we see?? Well, see if you can spot him (dancing behind my sister)...

Let me just say, I was totally loving this party!

We took time to tour the room and check all of the cool booths (think gelato, manicures, pipe cleaner rings, fabulous fake eyelashes, etc.). At which point Kim ran into the adorable Carol Hannah (they are practically best friends)...

You might recognize her from Project Runway Season 6...

She now has a bridesmaid collection and is the cutest thing you have ever seen in person. Kim and Lyndsay spent the rest of the evening dancing the night away with Carol but I was pretty content to snap photos here and there of things I fell in love with, like these mini fudgesicles...

Before we left we hit the Smilebooth, the perfect end to a FABULOUS party...

But our night was far from over. We were hungry girls after all that star sighting and headed for a New York staple Carmines...

It was the perfect end to a night that was just what my Momma-cation ordered (think delicious Cosmopolitan and some goofy New York waiters with very thick accents telling us we were "such beautiful girls", not exactly what my day to day usually looks like)...

We had high hopes for day two and it didn't dissapoint! And our goal of meeting Martha, well...Mission Accomplished!
