Coming Home

Sometimes the best part about being away is coming home.  Of course I came bearing gifts...

I could easily become addicted to photographing Emerson in this cape...

It looks like I kind of did...

It was every bit as amazing as I'd hoped it would be...

She didn't take it off for the better part of 24 hours except to eat.  Even a superhero's gotta' eat...

Being home meant the creative juices were flowing.  Carter needed to whip up a homemade instrument for school so with Mexico on the brain and Easter around the corner we busted out some Morocco's...

And that wasn't the only thing I was busting out.  My sweet friend Sarah was turning 30 and I jumped on putting together her totally rad (as in 80's) party.  Think troll dolls, slinky's and blow pops OH MY...

If you're looking for a good time throw on some neon and spandex it's sure to deliver...

I know a couple of little girls that love it when their Mama helps throw a party.  They get the hookup...

And just when life was feeling cool, calm and collected we stopped by Chik Fil A and wreaked havoc all over the place...

I mean we've made messes before but they literally had to bust out the big guns to clean this one up...

It wasn't one of our finer displays of how to eat out as a family but at least Emme was happy...

So we're home and things are back to normal (whatever that means).  This week it looks like green juice for lunch...

Cereal for dinner (because contrary to what some people might say too much Mexican food does not do a body good)...

A 7 year old aspiring artist...

Or model (it just depends on the day)...

Dad's who take a little break from the office to dance...

And sweet moments like this one...

It's good to be home.

Wonderful post...as always! Love seeing pics of the ones I love. Makes me feel like I'm next door :) Which I love the idea of and can't stop thinking about but can't imagine it. Smile. Hey! Speaking of next door. I could host a 'heck of' an Easter egg hunt in our back yard. Something to think about....

Y'all have a wonderful Easter Sunday and post pics quick! Dad doesn't know it but we are DEFINITELY dying Easter eggs today.
