Let me just start by saying...
This past weekend while visiting my parents Nate and I escaped for a couple of hours and went to the movie. When we came out a Good Samaritan had left a note on our car. The gist of it was that they had witnessed someone play "bumper cars" in the parking lot and then drive away. We had no damage but did get a good laugh with my parents. We were all a little critical thinking the driving skills of someone who was running into cars in a parking lot were probably lacking. Fast forward to yesterday. I receive a phone call from Nate. Somehow he has managed to cause a 4 car pile up before leaving the parking lot (actually before he barely left his parking space)...
Apparently it had something to do with dropping a badge, bumping a car, and then hitting the gas instead of the brake. Regardless, it was quite an accomplishment if you ask me...
He's just that good...
We were happy to rescue him, but had to spend a little time waiting (a four car parking lot pile up can be slow to clean up). So, we all practiced our best smiles on Nate...
And even though he wanted to be just a little bit mad...
He couldn't help but smile along with everyone else...
because in the end it really was kinda' funny. And even though sometimes it's a little rough around the edges...

Yeah, you got pictures! Why does this tickle me so much? I love the way y'all turned it into something positive! ...love the Saxton smiles! Life is good!
Bummer on the car! Is it at least fixable? i had a drunk kid run his body into my civic while in grad school and caused over $1000 worth of damage. So at least Nate wasn't so large or so intoxicated he did it with his body!
Well, well, this will make it hard in the future to get onto the girls if they have an accident! :)
Glad Nate (and the other owners) is safe and laughing about it is the only way to go.
