FOUR

Dear Emerson,

Four years ago you entered this world and it is with absolute certainty that I can say you changed mine forever...

You came into our little family of three and brought so much joy, laughter and healthy dose of craziness...

At four years old you are so confident, so sure of who you are...I think that is one of the things I admire most about you...

You are full of spunk and character and you know what you want and aren't afraid to go after it...

You are sensitive and kind and you love a good snuggle...

You tell me you love me at least 20 times a day (I hope that lasts forever)...

You are quick to help, love to dance and I could listen to you sing all day long...

You are eager to smile, fast to make a friend and sure to give a hug when someone leaves...

You love glitter and glam and can put together a killer outfit...

You are funny faces and early mornings and constant snacking...

You are pink and purple and all things princess...

You love your daddy and Carter and you could melt the hardest of hearts with your sweet prayers...

Emerson the thought of life without you is unimaginable...

I adore you and cannot wait to see what this next year holds...

Happy Birthday to you my sweet shining star....
Our family is brighter because of you...

I love you with all my heart.  XOXO Mom

Just waiting...

Babies are hard to wait for.  I know.  I'm currently waiting on one to arrive...

He's in there and hopefully he's coming out soon because I can't wait much longer to be an AUNT!  Yep...that's my nephew in there.  And it wasn't intentional or anything but I totally forgot to blog about his shower a couple of months ago....better late than never!  My beautiful sister is the most gorgeous pregnant person I've ever seen and there's no one I'd rather help throw a baby shower for...

It was a lovely day with lot's of lovely people...

And you know that moment at baby showers where everyone shares advice and maybe (unintentionally of course) scares the new mom half to death?  Yeah....that totally didn't happen.  Instead there was this magical bubble where everyone came together and shared a unified voice that said (in much more eloquent words), "You've got this...trust your gut...march to the beat of your own drum...your going to be amazing..." And the best part is they weren't just words...they were truth.  Then we all joined hands and sang Kum ba Yah....

And my nephew got some really sweet gifts...

He's gonna' be one cool cat.  I mean of course he is...just look at his mom...

Don't worry Bryan you're cool too. :)  I bawled (like an ugly cry) the other night because I can't believe he's really about to be here.  I am not good at being patient.  Hurry up baby!  :)
