Princesses, Fireworks and Baby Yates
It's looking like a summary of our activities every three weeks is going to be the extent of my Summer blogging. Two energetic kids leaves me with less time and honestly less motivation to reflect and type so at the moment I'm just doing my best to keep this little spot caught up! Here goes...
After a week of fun and friends...
Kim and I headed to pick up the mighty little Omega. She's dead set on attending overnight camp next year (I'm pretty sure I'm the one whose not ready!!)...
And I'm not sure how it's possible that the fourth of July has already come and gone (Summer is just flying) but we headed up to Temple to hang out and celebrate America with my family...
Carter got to see Aunt Kim's billboard for the first time...she was kind of excited...
It was a great few days with some of my favorite people...
And then my parent's took the girls for 24 sweet hours while Nate and I spent a little time in Austin. They decorated their fort, ate snow cones and held mice...we laid out by the pool, walked Town Lake and had Italian food. I think it was a win win for everyone...
And with that the giant 3 week summary of our life is complete! Happy Summer y'all! :)
Let's start with the most exciting news we've had lately...the arrival of Baby Yates!
We've all been waiting expectantly to meet this little man. This is my hero Cayce who has her babies sans medication let's all give her a standing ovation!
My favorite moment was after Emerson had a chance to hold Yates and told me, "I'm going to be a great big sister mom." I hope she gets the chance someday...
It's gonna' be fun to add another kiddo to this mix...
Yates also managed to arrive just in time to celebrate his big sister's birthday! Emme and Carter couldn't wait to party with their buddy Claire. They put on their "princess best"...
There's something so sweet about little girls in fluffy dresses...
It was a lovely little party and I'm so grateful Emerson has such a sweet friend...
Between partying and baby welcoming we squeezed in a few other summer activities, most of them involving water because it is HOTTER than a jalapeno out there...
And Carter had another fabulous week at T Bar M...
