Last week we packed our bags and headed to Mexico (I was so excited my bag was ready go 3 whole days early)...
I couldn't wait to spend 5 whole days in this beautiful place...
I was just a little excited but also just a little sad. It's always hard to leave the two little people I love most even if it is for a great cause. I knew they were in the very capable hands of the fabulous Kira (who saved the day in a pinch)...
And she kept me updated throughout the week with photos like these...
So I knew the girls were not only surviving but having a whole lot of fun! They were also in baby heaven (they're begging me to have another)...
Thank you Kira for making our trip possible after all it's not everyday that your best friend is getting married...
Can I just say that I am a BIG fan of destination weddings?! From the moment you step off the plane it's like one big party begins. Who doesn't love a good party? And to top it all off you are surrounded by some of your favorite people (just FYI I recommend making sure you have plenty of dinero before hopping into a Mexican taxi, right girls? :)...
Every time you head out to dinner or the beach or just to grab breakfast you find people you love and a good conversation...
One by one some of the people who have meant the most to Kim and Bryan arrived to share in the fun! Brothers, Sisters and Cousins...
Cayce and Joel...
Alicia (here's your official shout out girl...you are FABUOUS and I just loved getting to hang out with you! You're on the blog baby!)...
And of course the mother and father of the bride (looking good mom and dad)...
There were a handful of wonderful friends and family to share in the fun and it was off to a great start...
Friday night we all gathered and got ready to head out on a sunset cruise...
It was the perfect night on the perfect boat...
I just when it seemed like it couldn't possibly get more perfect there was this (photo credit to Jen Simon of Fondly Forever and Jenny Spradlin your pics were amazing)...
To be honest this was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen in my entire life. I seriously can't get over it. It would be impossible to top seeing whales breeching directly in front of your boat but dinner at The Office gave them a run for their money...
Or I guess I could say The Office "Rambo" gave them a run for their money (photos not shared to protect the innocent :)...
The next day was wedding day!
We were all so excited to have the chance to be a part of two amazing people vowing forever...
It was my favorite wedding...and I'm not just saying that. It was what weddings are supposed to be. It was sharing and promising and it was genuine. I loved every minute of it...and I'm not the only one...
The night was still young and we were off to celebrate...
Arriving at a private dinner on the beach was the icing on the wedding weekend cake...
Sometimes there are events that you look forward to or in this case are involved in helping to plan...
And in your mind you can imagine how it might be...
You hope for the best but sometimes it doesn't quite live up to your expectations...
But I can honestly say that this entire trip from start to finish was just as I had imagined it would be. I kept having to pinch myself as I would look around and see people smiling, these fabulous girls videoing and photographing, little details falling into place. It was perfect and it was beautiful and I just loved every minute of it...
Kim and Bryan you are some of our absolute favorite people. To get to witness and share this time with you was a privilege and we couldn't be happier to be a part of all that lies ahead. Y'all are awesome. Congrats on the most beautiful wedding I've ever seen. Way to go! You are a couple of drop dead gorgeous cool cats. XOXO Beth (photo credit Jen Simon Fondly Forever)
P.S. How bout' a destination vow renewal Mr. Nate? :)
I'm all in.
